Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast Halves cut into strips
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
2/3 cup butter
2 cups milk
1. Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover.
2. Cover, and cook for 3 to 4 hours on High.
3. About 30 minutes before serving, In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from the side of the bowl.
4. Drop biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
